Sweet Baby Girl Layout

Hello!  Well I finished a layout!  This is huge considering the fact that I've been very out of the swing of things lately.  If you missed out on why, visit this post.  It is my turn to host over at Bitten by the Bug.  This week's theme is "baby."  All you have to do to join in is to create a project with a baby theme.  I needed a little motivation to get going on my baby girl's first year album.  She'll be two next month.  This layout will go in her album as the first page.  I really love how it came out!
Her birth announcement I ordered from Shutterfly was my inspiration for this whole layout.  I found it, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the layout.  I love it when that happens.  I need all the creative help I can get lately.  This new baby is draining me.  I'm looking forward to that so-called return of energy that is supposed to come along with the 2nd trimester.  I'm still waiting on it!
The word cuts came from Gypsy Wanderings.  Aren't they so beautiful and elegant?  The scalloped circle is cut from Elegant Edges.
The pacifier is cut from Baby Steps.
I love the announcement, and it already has all her birth information on it.
The pattern paper is Teresa Collins Chic Bebe Girl.  Gorgeous!
The solid cardstock is Recollections.

I'm also entering this layout in this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #195 Mix and Match and My Craft Spot #124 Polka Dots.

In other EXCITING NEWS...
Friday we had a "Snow Day!"  I think it was more like an ice/sleet day, but hey when you are 50 miles from the Gulf coast, this is a big deal!  I haven't seen it where the ice lasted all day since I was 17.  My kids were so excited.  Now we have had it where it actually snowed and lightly covered all the ground before, but that doesn't usually last long.  It was so strange to look out my window and see "white" collections all over our flower beds and on the rooftops all day long.  My poor plants aren't doing so well. Here are some pictures:

White on White Christmas Tags

Hello Everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2!  This week is very unique.  Julie is challenging us all to make a "White on White" Christmas-themed project.  I admit that I was a little intimidated by that one!  But I just LOVE how my Christmas tags came out!
I knew immediately that I wanted a little pop of color somewhere on the tag.  I had two ideas in mind, so I made them both:)
For the pink snowflake ribbon tag, I knew I wanted a "snowy" tree, so I added some snow Recollections glitter.
For the red tag, I added the glitter to the star.

Just curious, which do you like best??

I really hope you'll try this week's challenge!!
I've also included links to my tag creations in the Craft Room and Gypsy:

Happy Pumpkin Day Tags and Gate Fold Card

Hey Everybody!  It's time for a new challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2!  This week Caroline has chosen a pumpkin theme for the challenge.  All you  have to do to enter is make a card or other project with a pumpkin.

For the challenge, I decided to make a gate-fold card and some tags to attach to some pumpkin-scented soaps.  These will be little Halloween gifts for my kids' teachers!  I'm really pleased with how they came out.
I saw Mary with CardsTV make this gate-fold card the other day, and I just knew I wanted to try one too!
Hope you'll check out my video below too!

"Witch" Way to the Candy? Layout

Hey everyone!  I'm back sharing another Halloween layout.  I'm kind of sad October is almost over because I love creating Halloween layouts!  This one was my favorite to make so far.  I'm entering it in some challenges, and you can check out my video below.
So my usual scrapbooking process is to create a layout after I have pictures.  However, this layout is designed for Halloween for this year.  That's a big deal for me!  I guess we'll see how it goes, and hopefully I'll have pictures to fit the mats I made.
My inspiration for this layout is my daughter's Halloween costume this year.  She's going to be a "good" witch with sparkles and purple hair.  So I created a layout with a witch's accessories:)
Cuts are from Mini Monsters and Happy Hauntings and embellished with Stickles and Recollections glitter with the help of my Xyron sticker maker.

Breast Cancer Awareness Project

Hey Everybody!  There's a new challenge this week over a Bitten by the Bug 2.  This week we'd like you to make a project to support a health awareness, such as breast cancer, Lupus, Luekemia, etc...your choice!

Boy did this really hit home for me.  My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in February.  Since then she has undergone a mastectomy and is now on week 16 of 24 weeks of chemo with radiation to follow.  So far we've gotten great news, and scans right before chemo showed she was cancer free!!  She still has quite a bit ahead of her, but I know she is so strong!

So this project has to be one of the most special things I've made.  This framed project will hold a very special picture!  It is for the day she rings her bell on her last day of chemo!  I want her to always remember how strong she has been even when she hasn't felt like it at all.

Supplies/Details:
Hope-Gypsy Wanderings-2.25 in.
Butterfly-Once Upon a Princess-2.00 in.
Flowers-Once Upon a Princess 1 in. and 1.5 in.
Frame-Elegant Edges-8.35 in.

Chalk
Hope to see you enter the challenge this week!!

And speaking of my Mom, over on my food blog I have a delicious dessert for your next family gathering:  Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding
It's a Paula Deen recipe and it is divine!!
