Vinyl Home Decor Project

I've been wanting to do a monogram with our family name for quite some time now.  I am very pleased with how it came out.  I am entering this project over at Fantabulous Cricut this week.
Vinyl is so easy!  I did this project and another one (which I'll post in a day or so) in one night!  That was even with two little ones in the room with me!  A pair of scissors and some scrap paper entertained them for quite a while:)  I had it all planned out and the letters welded in my gypsy, so I was able to get right to cutting.

For this project, I used:
8 x 10 canvas
Martha Stewart craft paint
Easel from Michaels
Gypsy Font for the "D" and "Est" and "2002
Accent Essentials for the decorative cut on the bottom
"D" cut at 5 in.
"Est. 2002" cut at 2 in.
Decorative swirl- cut at 3.24 in.
*This was my first time to work with vinyl on a painted canvas surface.  I had a little trouble getting it to stick, and it wanted to bubble up a little.  I thing using a painted wood plaque would be a better option next time.

I'm entering this in the following:
Fantabulous Cricut-ABC's/123's-Use at least 1 letter or number Cricut cut

Another First Day of Pre-K Layout

Hello Everyone!  I have another Back-to-School layout and a video to share!  I've been getting a little more scrapping done lately.  Finally!  I had to stay home from work a few days with my 18 month old.  She wasn't feeling too bad, just a mild fever, so I was able to get some layouts done.  I really had fun making this one, and it came together really quickly.  At the end of my video, I explain how I plan everything out in my gypsy.

First Day of Kindergarten Layout

Hey everyone!  I wanted to share my latest layout and video I finished.  I've been working on some "Back to School" theme layouts for my kids.  I've seen so many great ideas on Pinterest!  I'm going to enter this one in the Back to School challenge going on over at Exploring Cricut.
I tried to do something a little different from what I normally do on titles by making a banner and mixing the fonts.  I think it came out cute.
The banner is from Birthday Bash.  Isn't it cute?
Check out my video:

Now I know in the video, I said I wouldn't cut the pattern paper on my cricut, but I gave it a try on another layout afterwards, and it cut great with blade at 3 and pressure at medium.
Supplies:
Banner-Birthday Bash
"Day"-Gypsy Font
"of"-Lyrical Letters
"Kindergarten"-Cuttin up
Apples-Create-a-Critter
Pencil-Simply Charmed
Elegant Edges for green mat
Recollections Paper
