Candyland Birthday Layout

Hey everyone!  I have a fun layout to share with you guys.  This week Bitten by the Bug 2 is having a super easy challenge this week.  The theme is "Birthday."  I decided to make a layout for my oldest daughter's 7th birthday.  She had a Candyland birthday cake.  It was really fun to make, and she loved it!
I created the layout with mostly Create a Critter 2 cuts.
I cut the cake from Sweet Treats.

The title is actually two separate words that I welded together using the Craftroom.

I ran some of the cuts through my Xyron sticker maker and then added some glitter.
The pattern paper is from the Echo Park Summer Days collection.  I LOVE this collection, and I find myself not wanting to use it because I want to save it.
I also wanted to show you a picture of the cake I made.

My daughter was so excited with it!  I'll have all the details on how to make it on my food blog on Wednesday.

We hope you'll join us this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 and link up your new birthday project made with Cricut cuts.  Please don't forget to tell us what cartridge you used.

And I also wanted to share some of my food creations if you're interested in checking them out.

Birthday Card with a Number

Hey everybody!  Long time, no blog right?  Well I have a pretty good explanation for my 7 week hiatus, which I will share with you tomorrow.  But before I get to that, I wanted to share with you a project I made for the latest Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge.  A card was an easy way for me to get back into the swing of things.  I must admit flipping through my stacks of paper was enough to get me motivated again.
For this week's challenge, all you have to do is create a birthday card with a number on it.  Just make sure you tell us what Cricut cartridge you used.
This card is for my oldest daughter's 7th birthday coming up in February.

That cute polka dot paper is from an 8.5 x 11 Recollections stack at Michaels.  It is called Rainbow.  It has tons of cute and colorful girly patterns.

Supplies/Details:
Card Base:  Papertrey Ink Plum Pudding cut to make a 5 x 5 card
Recollections Rainbow Pattern Paper Stack
Cupcake cut-Sweet Treats-4 in.
"7"-Cricut Craft Room Basics-cut to fit inside of heart
Sentiment-My Pink Stamper Simply Sweet Occasions
Recollections glitter-Fairy Dust

So I hope you'll join us for the challenge!!

Space Ship Party and My First Video!

I wanted to share the simple treat bags I made for my son's birthday party.  When I say I kept it simple, I mean it.  In the past, I've done projects with several layers and steps, but I knew I just didn't have time to do 15 treat bags like that this time.  So I used my Cricut Imagine machine to do most of the work for me!

Check out my first video below to see what I put in them and how easy they really were!

I also put in some pictures of his cake I made for him, which turned out pretty darn cute!
